COVID Safety & Protocol

Effective Immediately
To ensure the safety of both our staff & our clients, face coverings will be mandatory inside the salon until further notice.
If you do not have a mask, we will provide one for you.
Our top concern is your safety and we will take all precautions to eliminate the risk of spreading COVID-19 & other variants.
We will continue to perform enhanced cleaning and disinfection after each client.
How do I book an appointment?
Go to SubstanceSalon.com and click on “Book Online” or Call 201-340-4514. An email and SMS confirmation will be sent to you.
Which services will be available?
We are offering all services listed on our menu at this time.
What forms of payment will be accepted?
We accept Contactless Payment methods including the credit card on file, Apple Pay and smartcard by using RFID technology or near-field communication. Our team will not be handling cash at the front desk and there will be no change at the front desk.
*Tips may be left via Venmo or cash in an envelope.
What are your booking requirements?
Your appointment is very important to us. We reserve each appointment especially for you.
To secure your reservation, we require a credit card on file.
What is your Cancelation Policy?
To best serve our clients and our staff, we require 24-hours notice by phone to cancel or reschedule any appointment. Cancellations on short notice prevent other clients from being able to fill those openings.
First Time – Life happens, we get it!
Second Time – 50% of the total service booked will be charged to your credit card on file
Third Time – 100% of the total service booked will be charged to your credit card and you will be required to provide a non-refundable deposit for any future bookings

Guidance about which services, products and styling tools we offer that will enhance not just your hairstyle, but your lifestyle.
A personalized recommendation for products that maximize and maintain the results of this visit straight through to the next.
Do you have Parking?
There is parking available directly behind our building in the Kip Avenue Garage. Our backdoor will be open for entry. Street meter parking is also permitted on Park Avenue, Orient way, and nearby cross streets.
